Mr. Tran Dang Thuy: Dedicated, creative engineer, contributing to building a modern telecommunications network
In the heart of Da Nang, there is an engineer who is silently dedicating his efforts to the development of the telecommunications network, that is Mr. Tran Dang Thuy, Head of the Technical Team of Da Nang Telecommunications Station - Central Region Network Infrastructure Center.
Continuing the revolutionary family tradition
Born and raised in a family with a revolutionary tradition (grandfather was a martyr, grandmother was a Heroic Vietnamese Mother, father was a Hero of the People's Armed Forces), Mr. Thuy was always proud of his homeland and country and was aware of his responsibility in building an increasingly better society.
"My family participated in the revolution, so I really loved independence and freedom, and really wanted the country to develop. In work, I always try my best to contribute to the unit and consider it a foster for the good development of society", Mr. Thuy shared.
On October 20, 2004, Mr. Thuy was honored to be admitted to the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He considers this an important milestone in his life, an opportunity for him to continue the precious tradition of his family, contributing more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Continuous efforts, overcoming challenges
Having been involved in the telecommunications industry since 1998, Mr. Thuy has witnessed many changes and remarkable developments in this field. In particular, after the restructuring process of Vinaphone Corporation in 2015, he and his colleagues have faced many difficulties and challenges.
"When merging, the technical and technical infrastructure of the merged units have many similarities. Some devices still lack monitoring measurement functions and display warnings to the operator. This is a difficult challenge for a new unit that wants to manage, monitor and operate equipment uniformly and ensure information security to the highest level...", Mr. Thuy recalled.
Initiative and sense of responsibility
Not discouraged by difficulties, Mr. Thuy has promoted his creativity, constantly learning and exploring new solutions to improve work efficiency. With knowledge of electronics and telecommunications and an understanding of new techniques such as IoT and immersive programming, he has proposed and implemented many valuable initiatives.
He has created a chart to distribute the humidity of the engine room environment to promptly warn areas that are likely to overheat; check and measure the parameters of generators to manage the safety level of backup sources, manage electricity costs; warn about the condition of heat fans, warn of water overflowing in the engine room floor...
In the work of managing fiber optic cables, Mr. Thuy has switched from managing the file for re-organizing positioning according to the roadmap to using a digital map and location using GPS coordinates, helping the operation, exploitation, patrol of the route, and response handling of the cable line to be carried out more promptly, accurately and quickly.
Street bright in the telecommunications industry
With his continuous efforts and active contributions, Mr. Tran Dang Thuy has become a shining example in the telecommunications industry. He is an excellent cadre who has completed his tasks, an exemplary Party member, always dedicated, creative and devoted to his work.
In 2025, Mr. Tran Dang Thuy was honored to be one of 95 outstanding workers who were a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the first time being honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is a worthy recognition for his great contributions to the cause of building and developing the Vietnamese telecommunications industry.
Mr. Tran Dang Thuy is not only a talented engineer, but also an outstanding son of his hometown, an exemplary Party member, a shining example for everyone to learn and follow.
