Mr. Le Tam Quan: Bright side of a party member in an FDI enterprise

After more than 17 years of working and contributing, he is not only a dedicated team leader but also an exemplary Party member, making practical contributions to the development of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Mr. Quan said: As an electrical engineer, during my years working at the unit, I always thought about how to complete the work as quickly and effectively as possible. At a business, I am always close to work, machinery as well as people, if I care about it, I can recognize any changes in it. If the machinery systems are broken and not repaired in time, the production process will stagnate, significantly affecting productivity and product quality. Therefore, my brothers and I always work overtime to maintain machinery, while thinking and finding methods to improve techniques to improve labor productivity, save raw materials, and ensure safety in production".

In the production and business activities of the enterprise, he and his colleagues always ensure stability and electrical safety, advise and propose opinions to the board of directors and management to ensure the most effective circulation and operation of goods. Every time the workshops have new product codes, he studies to ensure enough electricity, prevent flooding, fires, explosions and instruct workers to use electricity safely and economically so that workers have output and quality that meets the factory's requirements. When there is an incident, he himself quickly resolves it promptly so that workers can make the best products. He has had 5 technical innovation initiatives, improving production efficiency, creating a spreading effect for the movement to promote initiatives, improve techniques, contributing to the successful implementation of the production and business tasks of the enterprise. A typical example is the initiative " Design a time-trailer system for heat-matching presses" applied to production practices at enterprises with a profit value of nearly 1 billion VND/year, awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with the Creative Labor Certificate.

With his continuous efforts at work, Mr. Quan is one of 95 outstanding workers who were selected by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to commend on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (3/2/1930 - 3/2/2025).

Sharing about the obstacles in Party activities, Mr. Quan said: Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. has more than 50 Party members but has not yet been able to establish a Party cell. Although the attention of the Party Committee of the bloc has been discussed many times about the establishment of a Party cell at enterprises, it has not been implemented yet. The reason is that the enterprise does not have enough facilities such as offices and equipment for the administrative work of the Party cell. Time spent on Party cell activities is limited because workers often have to work overtime, not ensuring the living regime as required by the Party. In addition, a number of union members and workers do not have the motivation or ideal to participate in the organization because they have to spend a lot of time on activities and pay regular party fees.

From this reality, Mr. Quan proposed and proposed a number of solutions to further enhance the role of the enterprise Party organization, such as creating favorable conditions for the establishment and maintenance of the activities of the Party organizations at enterprises; organizing dialogue forums between the Party and workers, thereby listening to the thoughts and aspirations of workers and making timely policy adjustments; enhancing political and ideological education activities for workers, helping them clearly understand the role of the Party in socio-economic development.
