Party member Nguyen Van Phuc: Workers are creative, constantly contributing

From a poor guy to an outstanding party member

Born into a poor family in the countryside of Kim Son, Ninh Binh, Mr. Phuc grew up in the years after the country's reunification. When he grew up and finished high school, he followed his brothers and sisters to Binh Duong to apply for a job.

In the early days in Binh Duong, he encountered many difficulties. Finally, he also applied for a position as a sewing line worker at Chutex company. For many years, he has tried hard, devoted himself to work and life. His efforts were gradually rewarded, the company's board of directors arranged for him more suitable positions, with an increasingly high income.

The union Executive Committee found him active, enthusiastic, approachable, and affectionate, and also introduced him to join the grassroots union Executive Committee. In 2020, when Binh Duong province had a policy of developing party members in foreign-invested enterprises, he was selected by the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union to introduce him.

After being propagandized and educated, he has grasped many important information about the Party, the country, the Trade Union organization, especially about politics, economics, and society, he does not see any discrimination in the Party. He felt like he was older, more mature, and could stand firm in all adversities. He began to learn more about the Party and voluntarily applied to join the Party.

In 2021, he was officially admitted to the Party, where he participated as a Party cell of the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Trade Union. From now on, he has truly matured, as a party member in the company and a member of the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union, he has begun to see that the role of the party organization in the enterprise is very necessary, and can be a driving force to establish core and core forces in the enterprise.

After having enough Party members, they proposed to establish a separate Party cell of the company. Up to now, their Party cell after 3 years of establishment has now had 25 Party members, most of whom are officials of the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union, key officials of the enterprise, and he himself was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell.

However, the actual experience of Party admission, Party activities and organizing Party work in enterprises, especially foreign-invested enterprises, has encountered many difficulties, such as: verifying the background of the masses who are workers in many different localities; workers joining the Party to write personal records takes a lot of time; arranging to study Party training classes, studying politics, and Party activities is very difficult for many different reasons...

At this time, he has only absorbed and realized that being a member of the Party requires more self-training, but he will certainly be given a lot: he is more mature in all aspects, the business where he works is more stable, the grassroots trade union where he works more effectively.

Not only completing his professional work well, Mr. Phuc is also an exemplary Party member, actively participating in union activities. He always cultivates skills and knowledge of trade union work to share with members of the Executive Committee and heads of trade union groups. He is also the one who builds the connection and solidarity between the teams, departments and employees in the company, contributing to building the grassroots trade union to become stronger and stronger.

He and the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union have successfully negotiated and signed collective labor agreements for many years, bringing beneficial terms to employees and always receiving the approval of the Board of Directors as well as employees throughout the company. His efforts have contributed to building harmonious and stable labor relations at a company with nearly 5,000 employees.

He is also a consultant to the company's Board of Directors to ensure policies for employees such as: signing labor contracts, paying social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance at a rate of 100%. Up to now, 100% of workers of Chutex International Company Limited have joined the Trade Union. In recent years, the grassroots trade union has always been classified as strong and excellent and no union members have been classified as weak.

In addition, Mr. Phuc also has many initiatives in the movement such as: organizing activities to bring healthy playgrounds and entertainment to employees after work; caring for, visiting, and promptly encouraging cadres, workers and their families when they are sick, ill, or in especially difficult circumstances.

At the forum "Striving to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Central Organizing Committee within the framework of the program to honor 95 outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Lai The Phuc sent a message to all workers: let's try our best in all circumstances, for the life of ourselves, our families, for our homeland and country.
