Woman in Phu Tho receives 18 million VND back after 3 months of mistaken transfer
Phu Tho - After more than 3 months, a woman in Chi Dam commune has been supported by the police to get back 18 million VND mistakenly transferred.
On August 29, Phu Tho Provincial Police said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen (born in 1976, residing in Dong Tiem village, Chi Dam commune) came to the commune police to report the mistaken transfer of 18 million VND in a bank transaction.
According to the presentation, on May 9, Ms. Huyen transferred money to another account with the same name "NGUYEN THI THANH HUYEN".
Immediately after the transaction, Ms. Huyen contacted the bank to request investigation and recovery of money.
However, the determination of beneficiary accounts has no results.
After more than 3 months, she went to Chi Dam Commune Police to report and request support.
The commune police coordinated with the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank and the Viettel Pay service provider to verify information.
The results showed that the money receiving account was a service linked account registered by Ms. Huyen herself before.
Because she has not used it for a long time, she does not remember that this account still exists.
From the verification results, the Commune Police guided Ms. Huyen to carry out the necessary procedures to access and authenticate. After that, she received back all 18 million VND.
Chi Dam Commune Police recommends people to carefully check their full name, account number, beneficiary bank and content before transferring money.
When an incident occurs, it is necessary to contact the bank or the police agency as soon as possible for support.
