Vietnam General Confederation of Labor signs cooperation agreement with Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, there were comrades Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and Vice Presidents of the VGCL: Thai Thu Xuong, Phan Van Anh, Huynh Thanh Xuan.

The delegates of Hai Duong province included Comrade Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and representatives of the leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the conference, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor expressed his sympathy with the Party Committee, government, people, and workers of Hai Duong province for the damage caused by storm No. 3 as well as recent floods. At the same time, he believes that the Party Committee and people of the province will soon overcome difficulties, continue to stabilize their lives, and develop the socio-economy in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang also emphasized that in recent times, with the timely attention and direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, trade union activities and the workers' movement in the province have achieved many important results in representing, protecting and caring for union members and workers in the province. The patriotic emulation movement among employees has also been effectively implemented by the provincial trade unions at all levels, making Hai Duong one of the leading localities in the country in terms of the number of initiatives as well as the value of benefits...

In the coming time, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee will continue to lead and direct the implementation of resolutions related to trade union organizations; support trade union organizations in developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions. Along with that, direct the provincial authorities to grasp the implementation of legal policies in enterprises, strictly handle the situation of unpaid wages, social insurance debts... to protect the rights of workers.

The province is interested in urging and directing the care of people's lives, prioritizing the care of workers and laborers, especially workers in difficult circumstances during holidays, Tet...

At the conference, the two agencies signed the Work Coordination Program for the period 2024-2028. The coordination program aims to enhance the coordination in leadership and direction of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the workers' movement and activities of the Vietnam Trade Union in Hai Duong province, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the two agencies.

In the content of coordination, the two agencies will lead and direct the building of a team of full-time provincial trade union officials in quantity, improve quality, do a good job of planning, training, rotation, and appointment of officials; arrange, reorganize and innovate the operations of public service units and economic units under the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, ensuring a streamlined, effective, efficient, and financially autonomous apparatus...

The two agencies also coordinated to lead and direct union members and workers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Trade Union and Hai Duong province. Along with that, lead and direct the Party Committee of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee to ensure the management of the organization of workers at enterprises closely, in accordance with the provisions of law; coordinate with the Provincial Labor Federation to promote propaganda and dissemination of State policies and laws on labor to enterprises employing foreign workers in the province; strictly manage the recruitment and use of foreign workers working in the province...

The coordination program also focuses on leading and directing the grasp of the establishment and operation of labor organizations at enterprises; caring for, improving social welfare and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, supporting workers in difficulty and workers with achievements in production labor...

Also at the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 2 billion VND to support union members and workers in Hai Duong province who suffered damage from storm No. 3.
