Dien Bien's Lao brocade weaving craft wins second prize in China
Dien Bien - Lao brocade weaving artisans have won second prize at the traditional brocade weaving skills contest in China.
Accordingly, the working delegation of the Labor Federation of Dien Bien province participated in a series of cultural exchange and startup events of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - China, taking place from October 24-26, in Jiangcheng district, Pu'er city, Yunnan province (China).
The traditional brocade weaving skills contest " appointment - creativity and success" is part of a series of cultural exchange and startup events of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - China.
Participating in the contest, Dien Bien province has 3 artisans introducing Lao brocade weaving, Na Sang 2 village, mua Ngam commune. Each product is hand-woven entirely from cotton fibers and silk through many meticulous stages, demonstrating the ingenuity and diligence of women.

It is known that there are 32 teams participating in the contest, from localities in 3 countries: Vietnam, Laos, China.
The requirement for each entry must be a completely original product, with no limit on the style and form.
In addition, the contest requires candidates to know how to combine local ethnic characteristics and their own actual situation to design their own colors, prepare weaving fibers, brocade weaving tools and bring them to the contest location.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 18 prizes to the teams with outstanding products. Of which, there are 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 12 consolation prizes. The Dien Bien Provincial team won second prize.
