Trade unions of border provinces participate in Vietnam - China skills exchange

The Vietnam Trade Union has just organized a working delegation to visit and work in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

On January 3, 2026, information from the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor, during the days from December 29 to 31, 2025, the Vietnam Trade Union Working Group led by Ms. Be Thi Hoa - President of the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor visited and worked in Sung Ta City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

The delegation included representatives of the Labor Relations Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, union officials and technical workers from Lang Son - Cao Bang provinces.

Receiving and working with the Vietnamese delegation were leaders of the China National Trade Union, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Trade Union, representatives of the City Party Committee, the government of Sung Ta City and a large number of local trade union officials and workers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam - China Skilled Exchange Program, the leaders of the two sides affirmed that the vocational skills exchange activities are a meaningful occasion to contribute to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, promoting in-depth, practical and effective trade union cooperation; enhancing learning and sharing experiences among the technical workers.

With the theme "Skilled skills - Passionate about the profession to build dreams", the program creates a forum for outstanding artisans and technical workers of the two countries to exchange initiatives, professional experiences, demonstrate skills and creative working spirit. Thereby, union members and workers in Cao Bang and Lang Son have more opportunities to learn, improve their qualifications, foster passion and responsibility for the profession.

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor Hoang Thi Lam emphasized: The Provincial Federation of Labor always focuses on innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots; paying attention to training, fostering skills and abilities for workers; at the same time, promoting trade union foreign affairs, enhancing exchanges with border localities of China in the spirit of friendship, equality, and mutual development.

During the working trip, the delegations of the two countries visited a number of typical enterprises and production models in Sung Ta City. The skills exchange program is expected to continue to be a bridge connecting trade unions and workers of the two countries, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainable border area.
