Training on environmental protection and labor safety for 120 people in Dien Bien

On the morning of October 10, the Labor Federation of Dien Bien province coordinated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to open a training conference on environmental protection, safety and hygiene for union officials and officials working on occupational safety and hygiene at enterprises.

In her opening speech, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Ngan - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that this is an activity within the Coordination Program between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

"The program aims to clearly demonstrate and promote the role of the Trade Union organization in propagating and mobilizing cadres, union members, and workers to participate in environmental protection, responding to climate change, improving working conditions, and contributing to sustainable development of businesses," said Ms. Ngan.

According to the Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department, through the training course, strong messages will be conveyed about the importance of environmental protection.

In addition, they exchanged and discussed practical solutions so that the trade union can contribute to environmental protection and build a culture of labor safety at the workplace.
