Promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba's Trade Union organizations
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that the relationship between the Cuban Workers' Center and the Vietnam Trade Union is a model relationship.
On February 10, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor received Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Duc Thinh - Member of the Presidium, Chief of Office of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Vu Thi Giang Huong - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda and Women's Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the visit and working session, Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam expressed his gratitude for the material and spiritual support of the Vietnam Trade Union to Cuban workers over the past time.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam emphasized that the relationship between the Cuban Workers' Center and the Vietnam Trade Union is a model relationship. Both organizations attach importance to and care about the workers of the two countries - those who create assets and values to help the two countries become stronger.
Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his hope that in 2025, the two organizations will continue to maintain a good relationship; and pledged that during his term, he will further promote cooperation activities between the two sides.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his pleasure at receiving Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, affirming that the 65-year relationship between the two Parties and States is very special, and has been increasingly nurtured by the leaders and people of the two countries.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, the working session is even more meaningful when it was held right before the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025). 2025 is the year determined by the senior leaders of the two countries as the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year".
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor introduced the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union; affirmed the close relationship between the Vietnam Trade Union and the Cuban Workers' Center.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the two trade union organizations of the two countries regularly exchange and learn from each other as well as support each other in world forums. The two sides also regularly have separate meetings to discuss the situation of the two organizations.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed that the Vietnam Trade Union will continue to work with the Cuban Workers' Center to strengthen the relationship between the two sides, worthy of the expectations of the two Parties and two States.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also expressed his confidence that the two countries will effectively implement the areas of cooperation set forth by the leaders of the two Parties and States, thereby making contributions to the development of each country.

The head of the Vietnam Trade Union expressed his deep confidence that in the coming time, in his position, Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes will pay attention to further promoting cooperation activities between the trade union organizations of Vietnam and Cuba.
