High consensus on preparations for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress

On June 2nd, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organized the final session of the 13th term Executive Committee, term 2023-2028 under the direction of Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Ngo Duy Hieu; Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong and Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Phan Van Anh and Nguyen Xuan Hung.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing many important contents related to the preparation for the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, including the congress personnel report, contents serving the organization of the congress and the draft resolution of the congress.

Speaking at the closing of the conference, VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the contents considered and decided at this conference are of particular importance, being the final tasks to prepare for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

According to the Chairman of the VGCL, through the discussion process, delegates showed very high consensus on the congress preparation work, from building documents, amending charters, personnel work to propaganda and logistics activities and conditions serving the congress.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan also emphasized the role and sense of responsibility of the members of the Executive Committee as well as the heads of delegations attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

The President of the VGCL said that the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress was held after the success of the National Party Congress and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. These are important prerequisites, creating a foundation for the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress to continue to achieve good results.

Also at the conference, the Executive Committee of the VGCL unanimously elected two additional personnel to participate in the Presidium of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress, including: Mr. Pham Duc Long - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union and Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union.
