Da Nang Trade Union organizes practical and effective Workers' Month

Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: Workers' Month 2026 in Da Nang is organized with many large-scale programs: Mobile Workers' Fair, Job Counseling and Introduction Day, City Workers', Civil Servants' and Laborers' Sports Festival, Skills Competition for excellent workers in the electronics industry, activities to support union members in difficult circumstances and forums to contribute opinions to build the Trade Union organization.

One of the highlights of this year's Workers' Month is the "May Dialogue" program between city leaders and union members and workers.

The conference was attended by 450 trade union officials, union members and workers representing industries in the city.

At the forum, 46 opinions and recommendations were sent to city leaders and functional agencies, focusing on practical issues such as social housing, employment, policies, cultural and spiritual life, security and order, and building trade union organizations.

The legitimate recommendations of workers are directly answered by city leaders, directing departments and branches to research and advise on solutions according to a specific roadmap, creating trust and excitement among workers and laborers.

Direct support for 7,667 workers in difficult circumstances

According to Mr. Le Van Dai, in Workers' Month 2026, activities to care for union members and workers are widely deployed by the Da Nang City Labor Federation.

The City Labor Federation has supported 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered from work accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses with a support level of 1 million VND/person.

The "Thank you to Workers" program is organized in 315 units, attracting more than 14,500 union members and workers to participate and benefit.

The total resources of the entire trade union system for care during Workers' Month reached 5.5 billion VND, directly supporting 7,667 workers in difficult circumstances.

In particular, the Mobile Workers' Fair 2026 continues to receive strong response from union members and workers. The City Labor Federation has issued 20,000 free shopping vouchers, organized 50 booths selling essential goods with discounts from 10 to 50%.

During the three days of the program, tens of thousands of union members and workers came to visit and shop, contributing to reducing the burden of spending and improving the lives of workers.

The "Trade Union Meal" program continues to be an activity that many grassroots trade unions choose to organize during Workers' Month. Accordingly, 108 Trade Union meals were organized with the participation of nearly 10,000 workers. Warm meals not only contribute to improving lunch meals but also show the concern and companionship of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers.

At the same time, health care for workers continues to be emphasized with more than 10,800 turns of union members and workers having periodic health check-ups, advice on preventive measures for occupational diseases and raising awareness of protecting personal health.

The activities not only focus on caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers, but also create motivation for workers to promote creative spirit, improve professional qualifications, and make positive contributions to the development of businesses and the city.
