Collective dialogue and negotiation activities in Vinh Long are increasingly substantive, helping to protect the rights and improve the welfare of workers.
From regular dialogue to agreements that benefit workers
In recent years, Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union levels have identified workplace dialogue and collective bargaining as key tasks to protect workers' rights. Through periodic dialogues, many recommendations on salaries, bonuses, welfare and working conditions have been promptly received and resolved by businesses.
At Mega Surplus Vietnam Garment Co., Ltd., dialogue activities are maintained monthly, creating a channel for direct exchange between employees and businesses.
Mr. Truong Hoang Huynh - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union (CĐCS) - said that before each dialogue, the trade union proactively summarizes union members' opinions on salaries, bonuses, meals, working conditions, occupational safety and health and welfare regimes to exchange with business leaders.
Thanks to that, many legitimate recommendations were resolved promptly, contributing to building a harmonious and stable working environment and increasing the attachment of workers to businesses.
At Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment and Production Joint Stock Company (Tra Cu commune, Vinh Long province), collective bargaining is maintained regularly, bringing many practical benefits to workers.
According to Mr. Cao Huu Trong Bac - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union, the contents of negotiations focused on supporting lunch meals, raising welfare levels for workers in difficult circumstances, taking care of holidays and Tet, supporting workers with critical illnesses and improving spiritual life.
From a business perspective, Mr. Le Duy Khuong - General Director of the company - assessed that dialogue and collective bargaining are important bridges to help businesses promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of employees, thereby adjusting policies appropriately, contributing to stabilizing human resources and improving production and business efficiency.
Building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, in the first 6 months of 2026, businesses in Vinh Long province organized 453 periodic dialogues and 22 unexpected dialogues, focusing on issues of salaries, bonuses, working hours, insurance regimes and working conditions.
Through collective bargaining, many businesses have added policies that are more beneficial to employees. Typically, Viet Hong Export Garment Co., Ltd. provides additional travel expenses when gasoline and oil prices increase; My Lan Group implements a policy to show gratitude to employees who have been attached for 10, 15, 20 years; Luong Quoi Coconut Processing Co., Ltd. implements policies to encourage workers to have enough two children...
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - assessed that collective dialogue and negotiation in the past time have had many positive changes, contributing to better protecting the rights of workers. Many businesses have included contents on salaries, bonuses, welfare, labor safety, and working conditions in collective labor agreements at a level that is more beneficial than the law. In particular, 6 businesses have increased the value of lunch meals to 20,000 - 25,000 VND/portion.
According to Mr. Linh, implementing Directive No. 58 of the Secretariat, trade union levels will continue to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining to protect the rights of workers.
