Mobilizing the development of union members in a flexible, modern and approachable direction
In the afternoon of June 3rd, at Workshop Center No. 2, delegates proposed innovating the way of mobilization and building digital trade unions to develop union members and bring trade unions closer to workers.
Discussion center No. 2 was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Tong Van Bang, Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour with the theme: Focusing on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; improving the quality of trade union officials at all levels; building strong trade union organizations and participating in Party development among workers.

Accordingly, continue to innovate propaganda and mobilization to develop union members in a flexible, modern and close-to-worker direction; improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities; strengthen coordination between trade union organizations and Party committees, authorities, industrial park management boards and functional sectors in union member development; invest in facilities serving workers such as social housing, social housing for workers to rent, kindergartens, cultural and sports centers for workers...
Mr. Dao Minh Tan - Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City Labor Federation - said that to develop union members in the non-state business sector, it is possible to study building a network of cooperators to develop union members in industrial zones and clusters.
In addition, strongly innovate propaganda and mobilization methods in a flexible, close and practical direction; take union member benefits as the center to attract workers to participate in the Trade Union organization.
Mr. Pham Duc Long - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union - proposed building a "digital trade union".
According to Mr. Long, trade unions need to protect, accompany, and develop the capacity of workers in the era of artificial intelligence.
