Practical, not spread out

Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union said: the highlight in the 2026 Workers' Month of Nam Phuoc is that the activities are implemented in a practical direction, not spread out.

The commune trade union focuses on the contents that union members and workers really need: taking care of welfare, protecting health, propagating policies, ensuring labor safety, supporting employment - livelihoods, developing union members and connecting resources to care for workers.

Before the peak of Workers' Month, the Commune Trade Union created a foundation from long-term coordination programs and plans. Including a coordination plan for the period 2026 - 2030 with the People's Committees and Police of 3 communes on building the "Labor Safety Culture at the Workplace" model; a coordination program with Nam Phuoc Grassroots Social Insurance and Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance on propaganda, mobilization, and development of people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; and the Project on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the period 2026 - 2030.

In care for welfare, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union launched the program "Refreshing summer - Supporting workers", guiding each grassroots trade union to choose at least one practical job for union members and workers in hot sunny conditions.

The Commune Trade Union also coordinated with Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital to sign a medical sponsorship program to care for union members and workers' health; launched the column "Doctors accompany union members and workers" on the Commune Trade Union fanpage.

This is a new point in health care, shifting from phased support to regular, periodic health counseling and communication channels, close to the needs of union members and workers.

During Workers' Month, the Commune Trade Union coordinated with the Capital Assistance Fund for workers, civil servants, and laborers of Da Nang city to disburse 41 loan applications with preferential interest rates with a total amount of 1.23 billion VND, helping union members and workers have more resources to stabilize their lives and develop the family economy.

Highlights of propaganda and policy dialogue

According to Ms. Lam Thi Vy, propaganda and policy dialogue are a prominent highlight in the activities of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union during Workers' Month 2026.

Based on the coordination program with Nam Phuoc grassroots social insurance and Hoi An Tay grassroots social insurance, the Commune Trade Union has organized and coordinated to organize 5 rounds of propaganda, consultation, and dialogue on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies for union members, workers, youth, women's union members, fishermen, small traders and young workers.

The activities are organized near the grassroots level, to the right target group, helping workers better understand their rights and responsibilities when participating in social security policies; and at the same time create a channel for the Trade Union to grasp the thoughts, problems, and recommendations from workers.

During the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, the Commune Trade Union launched the model "Occupational Safety Culture at the Workplace" at the Trade Union of Anh Sang 7 Garment Enterprise and continued to replicate it at the Trade Union of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd.

The model does not stop at propaganda slogans but goes into specific skills, helping workers identify unsafe risks, raise fire prevention and fighting awareness, handle initial situations and form safe working habits in each production team, line, and unit.

Along with that, the Commune Trade Union participates in inspecting the implementation of laws on occupational safety and health at enterprises; directing and guiding grassroots trade unions to organize propaganda, training, drills, self-inspection of working conditions, and improvement of the working environment.
