Ca Mau - The Provincial Labor Federation handed over 2 Trade Union Warm Houses to union members in difficult housing circumstances.

On April 23, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with Nam Can Commune Trade Union and the grassroots Trade Union of Vien An High School (Dat Mui commune) to organize a ceremony to hand over 2 Trade Union Warm Houses to union members in difficult housing circumstances. Attending the ceremony were Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation Ly Cong Bac and representatives of leaders of Nam Can commune, Dat Mui commune, Nam Can Commune Trade Union, school leaders and the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Vien An High School.

Two union members who are supported with Trade Union Shelter houses in this phase are Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan Quynh and Mr. Hua Hoang Tho, both working at Vien An High School. Both are in difficult economic circumstances, and their income mainly depends on their salaries.

The first house was handed over to union member Hoang Thi Xuan Quynh, a single mother raising 2 young children. Previously, Ms. Quynh and her children had to live in a rented house. The handed over house has an area of about 70 m2, a corrugated iron roof, walls, and brick floor. The total construction value is 180 million VND, of which the Ca Mau Trade Union Social Fund supported 50 million VND, and the rest was contributed by the family.

The second house was handed over to union member Hua Hoang Tho, his family has lived in a degraded house for many years, with peeling walls, and frequent flooding due to the foundation being nearly 1 m lower than the road surface. Thanks to the support of 25 million VND from the Ca Mau Trade Union Social Fund, Mr. Tho has repaired and upgraded his house, significantly improving living conditions, helping him have a spacious home, to feel secure in his work and stabilize his life.

Moved on the day of receiving the new house, union members expressed their deep gratitude to the Trade Union organization for their concern and timely support, helping their families have stable accommodation and feel secure in their work.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation Ly Cong Bac emphasized: The Trade Union Warm House program is not only meaningful in terms of material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding faith and willpower for union members to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, feel secure in their work and continue to contribute to units and localities. In the coming time, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation will continue to mobilize resources to support more union members in housing difficulties.
