Da Nang Trade Union gives gifts to support 1,000 workers in difficult circumstances

News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on April 21st said: Implementing Plan No. 30/KH-LDLD dated March 25th, 2026 of the City Labor Federation on organizing activities for Workers' Month and responding to the Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026; in order to care for practical benefits for union members and workers, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation issued a plan to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Workers' Month 2026.

Accordingly, there will be 1,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND (total 1 billion VND) sent to union members and workers working at units and enterprises with grassroots trade unions under the City Labor Federation, who are in difficult circumstances, have low incomes; who have labor accidents or occupational diseases that reduce their working capacity.

Union members and workers suffering from serious illnesses who have been treated for a long time but have not recovered, are still continuing treatment as prescribed by medical examination and treatment facilities; have reduced working hours, unstable income; pregnant female workers, raising young children in difficult circumstances; trade union officials facing difficulties due to the impact of organizational structure arrangement.

Da Nang City Labor Federation will organize symbolic awards for 20 union members and workers at the Launching Ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month 2026 (expected to be held at 7:30 am on April 24 at the City Labor Culture House).

Organizing symbolic awards for 20 union members and workers at the opening of the Mobile Workers' Fair and the Da Nang Colors art program (expected to be held at 7:00 PM on May 23rd in Hai Van ward).

The Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a delegation to visit and give gifts to a number of union members who suffered from labor accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses.

Commune and ward trade unions, grassroots trade unions directly under them receive authorization from the City Labor Federation, based on actual conditions to choose the form of giving gifts to union members.

Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: Giving 1,000 gifts to union members and workers in Workers' Month 2026 is a practical way to organize care and support for union members and workers, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Through these activities, the Da Nang City Labor Federation helps union members and workers realize the role, responsibility and social security policies of the Trade Union organization, trust and stick with the trade union organization, promote union member development; create motivation to encourage and motivate union members and workers to work with higher productivity, quality, and efficiency and become increasingly attached to businesses.
