Commune-level trade unions strengthen care for workers from the grassroots level
Gia Lai - Commune Trade Union plays the role of a close bridge, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members to propose appropriate solutions.
On April 20, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation completed the organization of conferences to announce decisions to establish commune-level trade unions in some localities in the area.
Specifically, the Trade Union of Quy Nhon Tay ward was established and assigned to manage 58 grassroots trade unions with 4,565 union members in Quy Nhon Tay ward, Van Canh commune and Canh Vinh commune.
In mid-April 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation also held a conference to announce the decision to establish the Tuy Phuoc Commune Trade Union. Accordingly, this unit manages 36 grassroots trade unions with 2,601 union members in Tuy Phuoc, Tuy Phuoc Tay, Tuy Phuoc Bac and Tuy Phuoc Dong communes.
Representatives of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that the establishment of commune-level trade unions in Gia Lai is of great significance in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers right from the grassroots level.
In the context of an increasingly diverse labor force, especially in rural areas, trade union organizations play a role as a close bridge, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members to propose appropriate solutions, contributing to stabilizing life and creating motivation for workers to feel secure in production.
In addition, the trade union organization is also an important focal point in organizing dialogue and collective negotiation between workers and the government, units, and businesses.
Thereby contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; limiting disputes and ensuring the good implementation of labor policies in the area.
The consolidation and development of grassroots trade union organizations promotes socio-economic development in the locality.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that so far, basically the communes and wards in the area have covered the grassroots trade union system, thereby facilitating the trade union organization to propagate, mobilize, and develop union members according to the set targets and tasks.
