Trade union deploys many practical activities during Workers' Month

On the morning of April 22, at Son Nam International Transport Co., Ltd., Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union organized the Launching Ceremony of "Workers' Month" 2026, and at the same time deployed many activities directly aimed at union members and workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Le Thi - Chairwoman of Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union said that Workers' Month 2026 is identified as a peak period of comprehensive care for union members and workers, with the motto of strongly focusing on grassroots levels, taking workers as the center.

According to Ms. Thi, the activities focus on practical contents such as visiting and giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances; supporting the construction of "Trade Union Homes"; organizing free health check-ups and consultations; signing union member welfare programs; strengthening dialogue at enterprises to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

We strive for 100% of grassroots trade unions to organize practical and effective activities to respond to Workers' Month, so that each union member is cared for and cared for," Ms. Tran Le Thi emphasized.

Right in the launching ceremony, 46 gifts were given to workers in difficult circumstances, with a total budget of 23 million VND. This is timely support for many workers who are under pressure from increased income and living expenses.

In addition to material support, health care for workers is also promoted. The Trade Union coordinates to organize free examinations and consultations on oral diseases, and at the same time propagate examination procedures to enjoy occupational accident benefits, helping workers understand and protect their rights.

In addition, the "Your Health" model was launched along with the "Summer Cooldown" program, contributing to improving working conditions during prolonged hot weather.

According to the plan, in this year's Workers' Month, Vinh Phu Ward Trade Union will continue to implement many activities such as visiting and supporting the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses, organizing dialogues at enterprises, signing collective labor agreements... aiming to take care of workers' lives sustainably.

The activities are not only of immediate support but also affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying and protecting the rights of workers, especially vulnerable workers.
