Promoting dialogue to improve union member welfare
At BIDV Insurance Corporation (BIC), through dialogues, grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) have received and summarized many practical contributions from workers (NLĐ). One of the people who made an important contribution to this activity is Dr. Vu Minh Hai - Deputy General Director, Chairman of CĐCS.
Ensuring the correct salary, bonus and material benefits regime
The total number of union members and employees of BIC is 1,491 people. 100% of employees have signed labor contracts and fully participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Internal welfare policies such as BIC Care health insurance, cancer insurance, pension, periodic health check-up benefits and linkage programs (Family Day, Team Building) continue to be maintained and upgraded.
BIC ensures fair and transparent salary, bonus and remuneration regimes for employees, and allocates income funds in accordance with expertise and contributions. The company maintains package insurance for employees, including accident, health, cancer and life insurance for officials. BIC also organizes professional training classes, encouraging knowledge improvement, with more than 31,895 officials trained in 2025.
More content beneficial to workers
To bring more benefits to union members and workers, grassroots trade unions have innovated the content and form of dialogue, strengthened online dialogue forms, organized dialogues by topic, by cluster of units or periodically every month and quarter to improve timeliness, efficiency and expand the participation of workers.
Through dialogues, the grassroots trade union has received and summarized many practical contributions from employees related to production and business activities, working conditions, policies and welfare; on that basis, advising the leaders of the Corporation to consider and resolve them promptly, contributing to improving operational efficiency and creating consensus in the unit.
Here, the role of the Chairman of the grassroots trade union - Dr. Vu Minh Hai - Deputy General Director can be clearly seen. In his position as Chairman of the grassroots trade union, he proactively advised and coordinated with employers in effectively implementing regimes and policies for employees, especially contents related to salaries, bonuses, meal allowances, improving working conditions and environment, welfare policies and caring for the lives of officials and employees, thereby contributing to stabilizing the psychology of employees, improving productivity and work efficiency.
Based on the results of dialogue and collective bargaining between NLĐ delegates and employers at BIC's NLĐ Conference, the Chairman of BIC's Grassroots Trade Union and the General Director of BIC signed the 2025 Collective Labor Agreement. In which, there are contents that are more beneficial to NLĐ than the provisions of law, including buying comprehensive insurance combined with human and health accidents for NLĐ with a higher level of responsibility and insurance benefits; Increasing the amount of cancer insurance for BIC officials in the context of an increase in cancer cases nationwide; Officially purchasing life insurance for officials throughout the system; Implementing the policy of early retirement for BIC officials; Implementing policies for officials and employees to take full-time leave on birthdays.
According to Dr. Vu Minh Hai, for the Collective Labor Agreement to be effective, the inspection and supervision of implementation must be emphasized.
The Chairman of the grassroots trade union proactively listens to and grasps the aspirations of union members and workers through dialogue channels, trade union activities, suggestion boxes and direct exchanges. He promptly summarizes, reflects and coordinates with employers to resolve petitions and protect the legitimate rights of workers. Thanks to activities to care for rights, the Trade Union organization is increasingly attracting, building prestige and trust, affirming its role as a solid support for workers.
The ceremony to commend outstanding grassroots trade union presidents in collective dialogue and negotiation in the period 2023 - 2025 organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will take place on April 27 - 28, 2026 in Hanoi City.
