Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee visits miners in the open

Accompanying him were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and a number of related departments, branches and localities.

The working group went to the market at -50m above sea level to visit and encourage workers and laborers working at the 3rd Mining and Exploitation Workshop.

The 3rd furnace Mining workshop is a leading unit in the emulation movement for production labor of Nam Mau Coal Company (Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group).

Here, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh visited and encouraged the workers who were directly working in the mines, and at the same time acknowledged the efforts and sense of responsibility of the workers and laborers at the workshop.

In the first 5 months of 2025, the 3rd Mining and Mining Workshop has exploited over 104,000 tons of coal, reaching 48% of the annual plan; the average income of miners is over 30 million VND/person/month.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that in addition to focusing on production, workers should boldly make recommendations and proposals to the Company's leaders to continue improving working conditions in the basement, protecting the health of workers.

In the first 5 months of 2025, Nam Mau Coal Company produced over 1,280,000 tons of coal, reaching 53% of the annual plan. Coal consumption reached more than 1.1 million tons, equivalent to 56.2% of the plan. The average income of workers reached over 23.2 million VND/person/month, an increase of 17% compared to the plan.

In particular, during Workers' Month 2025, the Company has directed its affiliated units to focus on improving working conditions, improving the material and spiritual life of miners; at the same time, promoting training and surprise inspection of occupational safety and hygiene.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh acknowledged and praised the efforts and determination to overcome difficulties and boost production of Nam Mau Coal Company. He highly appreciated the proactive and united spirit of the staff and workers in completing production and business targets.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested relevant departments, branches and sectors to continue to accompany and support the Company in removing difficulties, especially in advising the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to speed up the extension and adjustment of the exploitation license.

The provincial leaders also hope that TKV and the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee will continue to closely direct and urge the investment progress of key projects serving deep coal mining and sustainable mine development.

On the Company's side, Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Thanh requested to continue to ensure absolute safety and hygiene in production; proactively take measures to prevent and combat storms and floods, without affecting mining activities.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his confidence that, with a high spirit of determination and great efforts, the staff and workers of Nam Mau Coal Company will comprehensively complete the targets of Party building and production and business in 2025, contributing to the overall growth of the coal industry and Quang Ninh province.
