Trade unions in Lam Dong ensure jobs and income for more than 800 workers
Lam Dong - The Trade Union and the Board of Directors of SCAVI Joint Stock Company Branch ensure stable jobs and income for more than 800 workers.
On January 17, Mr. Nguyen Tran Ngoc Lam - Chairman of the Trade Union of SCAVI Joint Stock Company Branch in Ward 3 Bao Loc (Lam Dong Province) said that the unit is currently operating in the garment export sector with more than 800 workers.
The Executive Board of the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of the company always coordinate closely, ensuring stable jobs for employees. Currently, 100% of employees are under labor contracts. Of which, indefinite-term contracts account for nearly 77%.
According to Mr. Lam, signing labor contracts helps employees participate in social insurance, ensure jobs, wages and welfare regimes according to regulations.
To achieve this result, the union regularly consols and guides workers to proactively learn and sign contracts right after starting to work at the company.
The grassroots trade union also accompanies the Board of Directors in preparing documents and resolving social insurance and health insurance regimes for employees; at the same time, ensuring that employees on leave are fully paid on time for the regimes according to the provisions of law and company regulations.
Every year, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union coordinates with the Board of Directors to organize a workers' conference and maintain a 3-month/term dialogue. Thereby, the trade union participates closely in the process of developing and implementing policies, promptly supervising so that the rights and welfare of workers are increasingly improved.
In the period of 2023-2025, workers will have regular health check-ups twice a year, supported with training to improve skills and organized a job promotion exam. To date, 58 workers have had their salaries raised and their worker ranks raised.
The Executive Committee of the Trade Union also negotiates and signs collective labor agreements with many preferential policies for employees.
In which, monthly support includes: Gasoline 300,000 VND, accommodation 500,000 VND, childcare 100,000 VND, health check-up support of more than 300,000 VND; female workers alone are supported with an additional 50,000 VND to buy personal items.
In addition, workers are given a bonus of 500,000 VND/month and a monthly productivity bonus, with the highest rate of up to 6.3 million VND.
