Da Nang Trade Union takes care of Tet for workers in diverse forms
Da Nang - This year, the City Trade Union takes care of Tet for workers in many rich and flexible forms, suitable for each specific circumstance.
Each circumstance, a way of care
The highlight of this year's Tet program organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation is the richness and diversity in activities.
Workers in difficult circumstances have Tet gifts; workers far from home have Free Trade Union Buses and Trains; those staying in the city have "Tet not far from home"; workers in industrial parks have Trade Union Tet Markets right at their workplaces; while in enterprises, the atmosphere of reunion is created by cozy Tet Eve Dinners.
Ms. Luu Thi Khuyen - a worker working at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, currently living in Lien Chieu ward - said: "The thing I like most in this Tet season is that the Trade Union organizes up to 4 Tet fairs in 4 different localities with many phong, rich, diverse items, and the prices are much cheaper than outside. Workers in other localities can take advantage of the off-hours to shop, the prices are cheap, and they don't have to go far. Tet is also less hard.
In particular, the Trade Union Tet Market is organized in many locations, both fixed and mobile, helping workers in different industrial parks have the opportunity to access it. Shopping vouchers not only support spending but also create a joyful Spring atmosphere through lucky draw and art activities.
Take care of diversity so that no one is left behind
Not only aimed at a group of subjects, this year's Tet activities cover most labor groups: from workers in enterprises, workers in boarding houses, to grassroots trade union officials, workers who do not return to their hometowns, and even public service units on duty during Tet.
The Trade Union New Year's Eve meal has a different meaning: creating a space for workers, businesses and trade union organizations to sit down together and share after a year of work. This is a form of spiritual care, contributing to increasing cohesion in the business.
For workers who do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns, the "Tet not far from home" program at self-managed worker groups in boarding houses helps them still feel the Tet atmosphere, the concern of the government and the Trade Union where they live.
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: "Each worker has a different situation, so taking care of Tet must also be flexible. The most important thing is to make them feel cared for and shared.
The richness in ways of doing things helps the Da Nang Trade Union's Tet program avoid formality, but focus on practical effectiveness. Workers are allowed to choose support forms suitable to their needs: shopping, returning to their hometown, staying in the city or simply a warm meal.
Not everyone needs cash, some people just need to go home, some people need a place to have fun during Tet. It is very precious that the Trade Union can do so many things" - Ms. Luu Thi Khuyen added.
From rolling carts, bustling Tet Market booths to year-end meals filled with laughter, Binh Ngo Tet 2026 of Da Nang Trade Union shows that caring for workers is not only a responsibility, but also a way to sow trust, retain workers and build a cohesive and sustainable worker community.
