Da Nang opens the Tet Sum vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party program

Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presents 4.5 billion VND worth of Tet gifts

On the evening of February 5th, at the Hoa Khanh Ward Administrative Center, Da Nang City, the Da Nang City Labor Federation opened the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and "Trade Union Tet Market 2026".

Attending the program were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, and leaders of departments and agencies of the city.

At the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, presented Tet gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 15 union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Previously, in the Tet care program for union members and workers, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supported workers in Da Nang city with 6,150 online shopping vouchers worth more than 3 billion VND; 950 gifts in cash and in kind with an amount of more than 1.5 billion VND.

On this occasion, Da Nang City People's Committee also presented 15 Tet gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to 15 union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Previously, the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Da Nang City presented 12,000 gifts, worth 12 billion VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the city.

Union members and workers all have Tet

On the side of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, a series of plans have been issued to organize practical and specific activities, targeting many subjects who need care.

The Da Nang City Labor Federation has organized gifts for union members, workers, single women in difficult circumstances, workers who do not have the conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet; the program "Tet is not far from home", visiting workers at Workers' Houses, self-managed boarding houses; organizing the Trade Union Year-End Meal...

In particular, from trade union financial resources and city support, the city's trade union donated 24,000 Tet gifts, worth 24 billion VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

With the desire for the journey home for Tet of union members, workers and their families to be smooth and safe, this year, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized bus trips to take 4,200 union members and their families home for Tet; and at the same time supported 2,000 train tickets to the northern and southern provinces. The furthest are Hanoi city, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands regions.

The program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" is a deeply meaningful activity, vividly expressing the feelings of workers, humanity and the core role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers; at the same time, it is an opportunity for union members and workers to express their gratitude to the Party, the State, and to all levels and sectors that always care about the lives of the working class.

The organization of the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and the opening of the 2026 Trade Union Tet Market takes place in the context of the city being expanded after the merger, the number of union members increasing, and the need for comprehensive and substantive care for workers becoming increasingly urgent.

With its responsibility, the City Labor Federation determines that taking care of Tet for union members and workers is not only a social security activity, but also a top important political task. With the motto as a promise of responsibility: Every union member and worker has Tet; no one is left behind.
