People's Public Security Trade Union presents 2,497 gifts to workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year

Attending were Ms. Phi Thu Huong - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the VGCL; Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs (X03), Ministry of Public Security; Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the People's Public Security Trade Union (CAND) and representatives of the leaders of functional units under the Ministry of Public Security and many union members and workers in the CAND Trade Union.

In 2025, the People's Public Security Trade Union closely followed the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in activities to care for union members and workers. The People's Public Security Trade Union has been proactive, creative, and synchronously implemented many practical programs, aiming at the grassroots.

Accordingly, nearly 25,000 union members and workers in the People's Public Security were visited and supported by trade unions at all levels. Over 5,000 union members in difficult circumstances are regularly supported; 1,108 union members and workers are supported with train and bus tickets to return home for Tet.

On January 24, the program "Tet Sum Vay - Trade Union Tet Market" was organized with the motto "All union members and workers in the People's Public Security have Tet". The program has 36 booths of the Trade Union Tet Market, attracting more than 5,000 union members and workers to participate in shopping for goods. Over 3,000 discount codes were issued to union members in difficult circumstances and outstanding union members, with a total value of more than 300 million VND; 2,460 Tet gifts supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, given to union members of the People's Public Security in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 1.2 billion VND.

Speaking at the program, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu said: Over the past year, the People's Public Security Trade Union has strongly innovated, directing all activities to the grassroots to practically care for union members, especially those in difficult circumstances. Proactively listening and coordinating to ensure stable jobs and income has created a strong connection between workers and the trade union organization and the unit, helping union members feel secure in their work and contributions.

At the program, Ms. Phi Thu Huong acknowledged and praised the activities of caring for union members and workers that the People's Public Security Trade Union has achieved in 2025.

To continue to promote the program Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang and Union Tet Market effectively, I suggest that the Party committees, police units, and localities pay more attention and create more favorable conditions for the People's Public Security trade unions at all levels to operate effectively and efficiently for the benefit of union members and workers, said Ms. Huong.

Also at the program, 200 union members and workers in difficult circumstances were given Tet gifts. On this occasion, the People's Public Security Trade Union will give a total of 2,497 Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
