129,114 Hanoi union members and workers were thanked

Over 12.2 billion VND to organize Trade Union Meal

According to the Hanoi Labor Federation, one of the notable activities of Workers' Month 2026 is the organization of the "Thank you to workers" program and caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers (UMs, FWs). Capital Trade Union levels have proactively coordinated with Party committees, authorities, business leaders, and units to implement many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual life of UMs, FWs. Notably, the organization of 925 "Thank you to workers" programs for 129,114 UMs, FWs; organized 1,032 "Trade Union Meals" programs with the participation of 140,377 UMs, FWs, with a total implementation cost of over 12.2 billion VND. Many units have had creative and effective ways of organizing care activities such as models: "Meal with leaders", "May Trade Union Meal", "Listening to act - Action for union members", contributing to strengthening the connection between employers and employees. Along with that, Trade Union levels continue to maintain and promote the effectiveness of the Union Member Welfare Program, organizing 145 programs with 63,446 union members and workers enjoying preferential treatment for goods, services and health care.

The work of supporting and encouraging union members in difficult circumstances has been promptly implemented. The City Labor Federation has coordinated to organize the presentation of gifts from Party and State leaders and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to 100 union members and workers with a total budget of 250 million VND, of which the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour supported 200 million VND. In particular, during the April 30th and May 1st holidays, the City Labor Federation directly visited, encouraged and presented 35 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to union members and workers who are constructing during holidays at two key projects of the city. At the same time, supported the construction and repair of 3 Trade Union Shelter houses for union members and workers in particularly difficult circumstances, who suffered labor accidents with a total support amount of 110 million VND.

15,231 Trade Union members admitted

Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour on the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in 2026, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation has reviewed and assigned targets for developing union members, establishing CĐCS, organizing a peak period of development "May Union Member Class", mobilizing workers who are not union members to join the Trade Union, increasing the proportion of union members in the total number of workers in enterprises. In May 2026, 186 CĐCS were established and 15,231 Trade Union members were developed. In addition, directing and urging CĐCS under communes, wards, and CĐCS directly under the Labor Federation to manage and update union member data on the ihanoi page. Completing the compilation of data and posting it on the ihanoi system with over 508,700 union members (reaching a rate of over 90%). Trade unions at all levels have done a good job of building a clean and strong Party and government, paying attention to fostering and introducing outstanding Trade Union members to the Party for consideration, fostering, and admission; coordinating to organize the Party membership admission ceremony for workers, civil servants and laborers on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, introducing 1,188 outstanding union members to the Party for fostering and admission.

Also on the afternoon of June 16, the City Labor Federation organized the awarding of titles to 40 units that achieved "Agency, unit, enterprise meeting cultural standards" in the period 2024 - 2025 and deployed the plan to propagate the Capital Law in 2026.
