Lao Cai Ward Trade Union mobilizes more than 1.4 billion VND to care for workers
Lao Cai - The trade union organization has supported and visited many union members in difficult circumstances, contributing to stabilizing life and adding motivation to workers.
From Tet support gifts, "Trade Union Homes" to timely visits when in difficulty, Lao Cai Ward Trade Union is gradually becoming a reliable support for thousands of union members and workers in the area.
After nearly a year of establishment, Lao Cai Ward Trade Union currently manages 69 grassroots trade unions with more than 3,700 union members.
In 2025 and the first months of 2026, trade union levels mobilized over 1.4 billion VND to support and visit more than 800 union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases, affected by natural disasters and other special cases.
Many meaningful activities such as "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Trade Union Meals", "Trade Union Homes" are maintained regularly, contributing to sharing difficulties, adding motivation for workers to feel secure in their work and attached to the unit.
In addition to care work, the Lao Cai Ward Trade Union also actively performs the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members. To date, 29 units have signed collective labor agreements, contributing to building a stable, harmonious and progressive working environment.
Organization development work also achieved many positive results. As of June 2026, the unit has newly admitted 526 union members, established 1 grassroots trade union with 82 union members. At the same time, 102 outstanding union members were introduced to the Party for consideration and training, of which 50 people have been admitted.
On June 13, informing reporters, Mr. Dang Nguyen Hoan - Chairman of Lao Cai Ward Trade Union said that the achieved results are a motivation for the trade union organization to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, improve the quality of care and protection of workers' rights.
We will continue to promote the development of union members, build strong grassroots trade unions, and at the same time implement more practical activities so that workers always feel the companionship of the trade union organization," Mr. Hoan shared.
