In case village and residential group health workers receive support of more than 1.7 million VND/month

Decree No. 192/2026/ND-CP of the Government stipulates a number of special allowances in the field of health; monthly support for village and residential group health workers and village and hamlet midwives. The Decree takes effect from July 15, 2026.

Article 7 of the Decree stipulates the monthly support regime for village and residential group health workers and village and hamlet midwives.

Accordingly, the monthly support level for village and residential group health workers and village and hamlet midwives is 0.7 times or 0.5 times higher than the base salary, and is regulated as follows:

- The level of 0.7 times applies to village and residential group health workers and village and hamlet midwives working in: Villages with 350 or more households; villages and hamlets in difficult communes according to Government regulations; residential groups and neighborhoods with 500 or more households;

- The level of 0.5 times applies to village health workers, residential groups and village midwives working in the remaining villages, hamlets, and residential groups.

The provincial-level People's Committee shall, based on the characteristics, socio-economic development situation, actual needs and budget capacity of the locality, submit to the People's Council of the same level to specifically determine the number of village health workers, residential groups and village midwives; specifically stipulate the specific monthly support level for village health workers, residential groups and village midwives but not lower than the support level according to the above regulations.

According to Decree No. 161/2026/ND-CP of the Government, the base salary will increase to 2.53 million VND/month from July 1, 2026.

Thus, from July 15, village and residential group health workers and village and hamlet midwives can receive a support level of 1.771 million VND or 1.265 million VND, depending on the size of the village and residential group.
