Removing obstacles for workers from direct dialogue
Da Nang will organize a large-scale meeting and dialogue conference between city leaders, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and workers, expected on May 9, 2026 within the framework of Workers' Month 2026.

According to the plan of the Da Nang City Labor Federation (LDF), the dialogue conference will have the participation of about 400 trade union officials, union members and workers from grassroots trade unions, boarding houses and self-managed worker groups. An important highlight of the program is the direct participation of representatives of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Federation. This is the highest level of dialogue ever in meeting workers in the locality.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - said that the conference is not only about listening but more importantly, "creating a mechanism for workers' problems to be resolved in a substantive, timely, and regulated manner, thereby strengthening workers' trust in the Trade Union organization and the government".
Building sustainable labor relations
Also according to Mr. Le Van Dai, this dialogue conference also has the meaning of providing information and raising awareness for workers. "Through the program, new guidelines and policies of the Party, State and city related to life, employment, and social security will be directly transmitted to workers. This is an important information channel in the context that many labor, insurance, and social security policies... are being adjusted and updated. At the same time, the conference also contributes to disseminating laws on labor, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance... helping union members and workers improve their understanding and proactively protect their legitimate rights" - Mr. Dai said.
Another notable point is that the dialogue content focuses on very specific and practical issues such as: working conditions, worker housing, occupational safety and health, wages, insurance, labor disputes, vocational training, job conversion...
At the meeting and dialogue conference between city leaders, the VGCL and workers, the Da Nang City Labor Federation is expected to present 100 gifts to support 100 workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses; union members and workers with outstanding achievements in labor and trade union activities.
