Vinh Long trains and educates labor safety for Trade Union officials

On May 27, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized a training class on occupational safety and health in 2026 with the participation of 120 trainees who are grassroots trade union officials, trade union officials at all levels and occupational safety and health workers at enterprises.

The training class took place at the Hall of the Phuoc Hau Ward Political Center, focusing on deploying many practical topics such as new points of the law on occupational safety and health; responsibilities of the Trade Union organization in the new situation.

Trainees are also guided on identifying risks, assessing risks in the workplace and measures to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases; and exchange real-life situations arising at businesses to improve handling skills.

In addition, the program also deploys a thematic topic on the role of the safety and hygiene network in enterprises; skills in monitoring and propagating occupational safety and hygiene and first aid content for common labor accidents in the workplace.

Speaking at the opening of the training class, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi - Standing Vice President of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that occupational safety and health have always been concerned and implemented by trade union levels in the province with many practical solutions, contributing to improving working conditions and limiting labor accidents.

According to Ms. Chi, in the face of unsafe risks in production and the impact of new technologies, trade union organizations, businesses and workers need to continue to improve responsibility, proactively prevent and build a safety culture in the workplace.

At the end of the training class, the trainees participated in checking and evaluating the training results and were awarded certificates of completion of the 2026 occupational safety and health training course.
