Raising legal awareness for workers in Hai Phong

On May 22, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation organized a legal propaganda program on social insurance (BHXH) for workers at Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Truong Industrial Park, Hai Phong City), attracting nearly 350 union members and workers to participate.

At the program, workers were disseminated many important contents in the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, especially regulations directly related to essential rights such as conditions for enjoying pensions; sickness, maternity, death benefits; unemployment benefits; rights to medical examination and treatment with health insurance.

In addition, trade union officials also propagate the responsibility of employers in fully implementing social insurance and health insurance (HI) policies for employees according to regulations.

The propaganda session was lively with many practical questions raised by workers and answered specifically. Ms. Pham Thi Hao - a worker at Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that she is particularly interested in regulations related to maternity benefits and social insurance policies for female workers.

According to Ms. Hao, being updated with new points of the law helps workers better understand their rights to proactively protect them when necessary.

Mr. Pham Tro Khop - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the social insurance legal propaganda program is a practical activity, helping to raise legal awareness for union members and workers.

Thereby, contributing to helping workers feel secure in their work, be attached to the business for a long time, and at the same time build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the unit.
