Establishment of 5 grassroots trade unions in Thuy Nguyen ward, Hai Phong
Hai Phong - On the morning of May 16, Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union organized a conference to announce the decision to establish a grassroots trade union; awarding union member allowances on the occasion of Workers' Month.
At the ceremony, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation announced the decision to establish 5 grassroots trade unions: Thai Nguyen Trading and Service Investment Co., Ltd., T.T. H Automation Technology Application and Development Co., Ltd., My Son Co., Ltd., TMH Environment and Service Co., Ltd., Nam Hai Mechanical Trading and Service Co., Ltd. At the same time, it decided to admit 150 workers from 5 units who are members of the Vietnam Trade Union.
According to Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union, from the beginning of 2026 to now, the Ward Trade Union has mobilized the establishment of 7 grassroots trade unions with a total of 200 union members, raising the total number of union members monitored and managed by the Ward Trade Union to nearly 4,500 union members.
Speaking to assign tasks, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation requested that immediately after the grassroots trade union establishment conference, Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union guide newly established units to quickly complete regulations and develop operating programs. Along with that, inform union members and workers in new units about programs and activities that Hai Phong City Labor Federation is implementing such as supporting Trade Union Shelter houses, borrowing capital from the Fund to support poor workers and employees; guiding grassroots trade unions to participate in Workers' Month 2026 activities... The Executive Committees of grassroots trade unions, based on the directions and guidance of higher-level trade unions, review the list of union members in difficult circumstances, children of workers and employees overcoming difficulties and studying well... so that Hai Phong City Labor Federation can promptly support.
Also at the conference, Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented gifts and allowances for Workers' Month to union members and workers of Thuy Nguyen Ward Trade Union. It is known that on this occasion, Party and State leaders presented 10 gifts worth 25,000,000 VND, the City Labor Federation presented 8 allowances worth 36,000,000 VND and 20 gifts worth 20,00,000 VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the ward.
