Dong Thap - Provincial Labor Federation organizes training to raise awareness and skills on occupational safety and health and fire prevention and fighting for the first time in 2026.

On April 9, in My Tho ward, the first training class on occupational safety and health (ATVSLĐ) and fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) in 2026 was organized.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - attended and delivered the opening speech. Also attending were over 200 trade union officials of communes, wards, trade unions of industrial parks, Dong Thap Economic Zones, grassroots trade union officials, and officials in charge of occupational safety and health at units and businesses in the area.

Speaking at the training class, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan emphasized the meaning and importance of organizing the training class in the context that labor and safety laws are undergoing many important changes.

According to the plan, the activities are implemented based on the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, and are also associated with the plan of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

The training program aims to consolidate and improve knowledge for trade union officials, officials in charge of OSH, occupational safety and health, and workers. Delegates were equipped and updated with a system of relevant legal knowledge by speakers from the Provincial Social Insurance, Department of Home Affairs, Center for Application of Science and Technology and Labor Protection Services, Provincial Police, and Provincial Center for Disease Control, such as training focused on relevant legal regulations such as the 2015 Law on Occupational Safety and Health, the 2019 Labor Code, the 2024 Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue, the 2024 Trade Union Law and guiding documents.
