Tightening labor safety, promoting the establishment of grassroots trade unions in Lao Cai
Lao Cai - The Trade Union of Industrial Parks at Base 2 strengthens labor safety inspections at enterprises, and at the same time promotes the establishment of grassroots units.
Tightening labor safety at enterprises
In mid-April 2026, working groups of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks at Base 2 coordinated with the Management Board of Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone to directly go to businesses to grasp the labor, production, and business situation at Bac Duyen Hai and Dong Pho Moi industrial parks.
At units such as Quang Minh Concrete Company, Viet Tinh Co., Ltd., the delegation focused on inspecting the compliance with legal regulations on labor, occupational safety and health; and recorded the actual working conditions of workers in workshops.

Along with that, food safety assurance is particularly focused on. At ESACO Lao Cai Company, the delegation inspected the collective kitchen, from the origin of food, processing process to food sample storage and hygiene conditions.
Through inspection, basically the units implemented the regulations correctly, but were still guided to supplement and improve them to prevent risks.

Businesses are guided to complete labor dossiers such as internal regulations, collective labor agreements, salary regulations, management of foreign workers; and at the same time implement regulations on occupational safety and health training, periodic health checks, and work environment monitoring.
In addition, new policies such as electronic social insurance books, electronic health insurance cards, and electronic labor contracts are also being disseminated to support businesses to gradually transform digitally.
Promote the establishment of trade unions, maintain stable security for workers
In parallel with inspection and propaganda activities, the work of developing trade union organizations is promoted. Working groups directly work with businesses to mobilize the establishment of grassroots trade unions, thereby creating a foundation to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
The Trade Union of Industrial Zones 2 also coordinated with Lao Cai Ward Police to grasp the security situation of workers in industrial parks and economic zones. The content focused on preventing social evils, ensuring security and order, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment.

On April 7, in an exchange with reporters, Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks No. 2 - said: "Reality shows that wherever there is an effective trade union organization, labor relations are more stable, and workers are assured and attached. We directly go to businesses not only to inspect, but also to listen, accompany and remove difficulties for both workers and employers.
According to Mr. Hai, linking trade union development work with labor safety and food safety inspection is a necessary direction.
Safety is not only working conditions, but also meals, the daily life of workers. When those factors are ensured, labor productivity and sustainable development of enterprises will be strengthened," Mr. Hai emphasized.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to closely follow the grassroots level, strengthen dialogue, promptly grasp problems to propose solutions; and at the same time mobilize the establishment of trade unions at eligible enterprises.
