Lam Dong - Focusing on ensuring labor safety is one of the key tasks in the Action Month on OSH and Workers' Month 2026.

On April 17, the Lam Dong Provincial Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Council coordinated with the Provincial Labor Federation to organize the launching ceremony of the Action Month on OSH and Workers' Month 2026.

The event was attended by leaders of the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Labor Federation, representatives of trade union organizations, businesses and more than 350 officials, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Action Month on OSH and Workers' Month 2026 has the themes "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of OSH work in the digital age" and "Vietnamese workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".

The launching ceremony aims to promote changes in awareness and action to focus on ensuring OSH in the workplace; and at the same time enhance social responsibility in the supply chain of goods and services.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial OSH Council said that in recent years, OSH work in the area has achieved many positive results.

Many effective models and methods have been replicated; businesses and workers are increasingly proactive in applying preventive measures, contributing to reducing labor accidents.

According to Mr. Do Van Chung, 2026 marks a strong shift in the national digital transformation process.

However, in the province, labor accidents still occur, causing serious consequences for workers and society.

According to statistics, in 2025, the whole province recorded 18 labor accidents in labor-related areas, killing 17 people and injuring 3 people, with estimated damage of about 2 billion VND.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 40 gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 4 individuals with achievements in OSH work in 2025.
