Dong Thap Provincial Occupational Safety and Hygiene - Fire and Explosion Prevention Contest

The Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) has just issued a plan to organize the XXVI Occupational Safety and Health - Fire and Explosion Prevention (ATVSLĐ - PCCN) Contest in 2026. This is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (ATVSLĐ) in the province.

According to the plan, the contest is expected to take place on May 5. The opening ceremony will be held at 6 am, combined with the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on OSH 2026 of the province.

The fire prevention and fighting practice and first aid competition will take place in the area of the Nguyen Huu Huan Valedictorian Monument, while the multiple-choice and summary competition will be held at the North Hamlet Hall, Provincial Conference Center.

The prize structure includes comprehensive prizes (first, second, third, consolation prizes) for teams competing in all 3 categories, along with thematic prizes for each competition section. The cost of organizing the contest is guaranteed from the provincial Trade Union's financial resources and the support of relevant sectors.

With the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age", the Contest aims to widely disseminate information to union members, workers, civil servants, laborers (DV, CN, VC, LĐ) and people about the meaning and importance of occupational safety and health in the new situation. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, skills, as well as the ability to handle situations arising at the workplace, protecting workers' health and ensuring safe production and business activities.

The contest content revolves around legal regulations related to occupational safety and health - fire prevention and fighting, including the 2015 Law on Occupational Safety and Health, the 2019 Labor Code, the 2024 Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue, the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, and guiding documents for implementation.

Each team consists of 7 members who are trade union officials at all levels, workers, civil servants, laborers and occupational safety and health workers at agencies, units, and businesses in Dong Thap province. The teams compete in 3 main contents: fire prevention and fighting practice; first aid practice for labor accidents; and knowledge quizzes with 30 questions.

Depending on the conditions, teams can register to participate in one or more events, in which teams participating in all 3 competitions will be considered for comprehensive prizes.

The contest is expected to create a useful and practical playground, contributing to spreading awareness of law compliance and building a safe and sustainable working environment in the province.
