Improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age
The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology has just issued a plan to implement Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026.
On April 13, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology (CĐKHCNVN) said that CĐKHCNVN has just issued a Plan to organize activities for Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 of the Vietnam Science and Technology Union are implemented with the theme "Improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health work in the digital age".
The plan is built on the basis of implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities for Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
Activities on the occasion of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026 are associated with the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1st, in order to further affirm the position, role and historical mission of the Vietnamese working class in the new development stage.
CĐKHCNVN aims to promote the concern and responsibility of the entire political system, the business community and the whole society for caring for and building a modern and strong working class. At the same time, the activities also aim to create clear changes in ensuring labor safety and hygiene; preventing labor accidents and occupational diseases; improving working conditions and the quality of human resources of the industry.
CĐKHCNVN requests that activities must be organized synchronously, practically, with focus and key points; prioritize the application of science, technology and digital transformation from propaganda, implementation to supervision and evaluation; strengthen coordination between trade union organizations and specialized agencies, businesses and related units to improve the effectiveness of caring for union members and workers.
In 2026, Workers' Month has the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity"; Action Month on occupational safety and health has the theme "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age".
According to the VGCL, the highlight of the plan is the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026. At the launching ceremony, the VGCL will commend and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and health" in 2025; and present gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Notably, the "Workers' Fair" program will be organized with many booths providing preferential products and services for union members and workers. The Vietnam Science and Technology Union will sign cooperation agreements with partners to implement preferential health care and medical services programs; organize seminars and health consultations to improve the material and spiritual life of workers.
