Bringing the law to businesses, protecting the safety of workers in Hung Yen

Hung Yen - Hung Yen Provincial Police promote legal propaganda at enterprises, raise traffic safety awareness and ensure security and order for workers.

In the context of the increasing labor force in industrial zones and clusters in Hung Yen province, the requirement to ensure safety for workers is not only limited to production safety but also extends to traffic safety and security at enterprises.

In Dong Thai Ninh commune, where there are about 11 companies and businesses operating with a large number of workers, the situation of workers participating in traffic during rush hour morning - afternoon always poses a potential risk of unsafety.

Reality shows that the awareness of traffic law compliance of a part of workers is still limited, easily leading to violations such as not wearing helmets according to regulations, using phones when driving vehicles, not complying with traffic lights or speeding.

Faced with that reality, Dong Thai Ninh Commune Police regularly organize propaganda sessions and disseminate laws on road traffic order and safety at enterprises.

The content focuses on updating the traffic accident situation in the province and locality, analyzing the common causes leading to accidents, and emphasizing the serious consequences for the health, lives and income of workers.

Workers are specifically guided on how to choose and use helmets that meet standards, safe traffic participation skills, as well as regulations on penalties for violations such as alcohol concentration, carrying more people than prescribed, and using phones while driving.

In parallel with ensuring traffic safety, the Hung Yen Provincial Police force also focuses on building a security and safety environment right in the enterprise - where a large number of workers are concentrated.

The Economic Security Department, Hung Yen Provincial Police has coordinated with Minh Anh Garment Co., Ltd. (Pho Noi B Industrial Park, Nguyen Van Linh commune) to organize legal propaganda, professional training and launch the "Self-management Group on security and order" model in enterprises.

Economic Security Department officials disseminated key contents on ensuring security and safety in enterprises; and at the same time warned about common criminal methods and tricks such as cyber fraud, property theft, as well as acts of taking advantage of labor disputes to incite illegal strikes and collective work stoppages.

Workers are instructed on how to identify risks, proactively prevent and promptly inform and denounce violations.

Notably, the police force also organized skills training for members of the Self-Management Team on security and order in enterprises.

The training content focuses on grasping the internal situation, early detection of complex signs of security and order; skills in propagating and mobilizing workers to comply with laws and labor regulations; as well as coordination procedures for handling incidents arising right from the grassroots level, contributing to maintaining the stable working environment.

Through propaganda activities and self-management models, the awareness of officials, workers and laborers at enterprises has clearly changed. Not only raising awareness of law compliance, workers are also equipped with more self-protection skills against traffic safety and security and order risks.
