Gia Lai Trade Union spreads the message of no smoke to workers
Gia Lai - The Trade Union promotes propaganda and raises workers' awareness of the harms of tobacco, towards building a smoke-free working environment.
On May 31, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation said that it had coordinated with the Provincial Center for Disease Control and the Provincial Department of Health to organize a rally to respond to the National Week without Cigarette Smoke (from May 25 - 31) and World No Tobacco Day May 31 at the grassroots Trade Union of B&D Lingerie Vietnam Co., Ltd.
At the meeting, the units propagated the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms; disseminated regulations on no-smoking locations and sanctions for violations.

Union members and workers are informed about the harmful effects of active smoking, passive smoking, and the negative effects of e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, and new tobacco products on health.
The program also emphasizes the benefits of building a smoke-free working environment at agencies, units and businesses, contributing to protecting workers' health and improving the quality of life.

The activities aim to raise awareness and responsibility of officials, union members, and workers in the work of preventing and combating the harmful effects of tobacco, especially new generation tobacco products such as e-cigarettes, heated tobacco and shisha.
At the same time, promote communication about tobacco harm prevention and control on the information channels of the Trade Union organization, contributing to spreading the message of healthy living, building a safe, civilized and smoke-free working environment.
