Answering questions about social insurance for workers in Lam Dong
Lam Dong - Union members and workers are propagated and consulted on new policies on Social Insurance (SI) and answered many problems.
On June 2nd, Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham - Chairwoman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union - said that the unit has coordinated with the Social Insurance agency to organize propaganda and legal advice on social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT) for union members and workers.
The program was organized at the grassroots Trade Union of Rang Dong Joint Stock Company and the grassroots Trade Union of Quan Trung Trading and Production Co., Ltd. with the participation of 150 union members and workers.
Ham Thang ward is a locality with a large concentration of businesses with a large number of workers. In recent years, businesses have paid more attention to implementing salary and bonus regimes and participating in social insurance and health insurance for workers.
At the program, employees were informed by representatives of Ham Thang Grassroots Social Insurance about the contents of the 2024 Social Insurance Law and new points related to social insurance and health insurance participants effective from July 1, 2025.
At the same time, workers are also informed about their rights when participating in social insurance, risks when not participating, and policies directly related to life such as sickness, maternity, and retirement benefits.
In the exchange, many workers and laborers asked questions about how to calculate the level of unemployment insurance benefits, social insurance benefits according to the number of years and the level of insurance contribution salary; handling cases where businesses do not return social insurance books; conditions for enjoying pensions; death and disability benefits; unemployment benefits and maternity benefits for social insurance participants.
Representatives of professional departments under Ham Thang Grassroots Social Insurance directly answered and clarified each content, helping employees better understand legal regulations, thereby being assured to work and protecting their legitimate rights.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham, social insurance and health insurance are issues that a large number of workers and laborers are concerned about. Therefore, organizing propaganda and direct answering sessions not only helps workers access full policy information but also creates conditions for trade unions to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members.
In the coming time, Ham Thang Ward Trade Union will continue to coordinate with functional agencies to promote propaganda on labor laws, social insurance, and health insurance at enterprises, contributing to raising workers' awareness and building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in the area.
