Article 25 of the Law on Drug Prevention and Control (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the responsibilities of illegal drug users as follows:
1. Provide complete and accurate information about drug substances and the act of illegally using drugs to the commune-level police or other competent agencies and people.
2. Be present according to the summons and at the request of the commune-level Police, the commune-level People's Committee during the management period.
3. Commit to strictly complying with the provisions of law.
4. In case of absence from the place of residence, it is necessary to report to the commune-level police; notify the commune-level police where they are residing before changing their place of residence; report to the commune-level police of the new place of residence within 24 hours.
5. Perform other responsibilities according to the provisions of this Law and relevant legal regulations.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, illegal drug users have the above responsibilities.
