Clause 1, Article 8 of the Law on Saving and Combating Wastefulness (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the rights of people fighting against wastefulness as follows:
a) Being aware of protection measures; rights and obligations when protection measures are applied;
b) Being applied timely protection measures, ensuring safety; being protected by their legitimate rights and interests and those of their loved ones in accordance with the law;
c) Being requested to change, supplement, terminate the application of protection measures or refuse to apply protection measures;
d) Being compensated according to the provisions of law when the competent authority does not apply protection measures or does not apply them in time, causing damage to the life, health, property, and spirit of the person fighting against waste or relatives.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, people fighting against wastefulness have the above rights.
