Clause 4, Article 8 of the Law on Saving and Combating Wastefulness (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the cases where people fighting against wastefulness are not protected, ending protection as follows:
a) The protected person has a written request to terminate, refuse to apply protection measures, not cooperate with competent authorities in the process of implementing the request for protection or not comply with the obligations as prescribed;
b) The content of the fight against wastefulness has been verified and confirmed by competent authorities, concluding that it is unfounded and untrue;
c) The basis for applying protection measures is no longer valid;
d) Other cases not protected, termination of protection according to the provisions of law.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, people fighting against waste will not be protected, and protection will be terminated in the above cases.
