Quang Ninh tightens discipline, prevents waste and negativity during Tet
Quang Ninh requires strict implementation of discipline and administrative discipline; preventing and combating waste and negativity in organizing Tet, associated with the responsibility of the head.
The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has just issued Directive No. 02/ CT-UBND on organizing the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, emphasizing the need to tighten discipline and administrative discipline, strengthen the prevention and control of waste and negativity in all activities of organizing Tet.
According to the directive, departments, branches, sectors and localities must thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the regulations of the Central and the province; promote the responsibility of the head in directing and operating.
In case of law violations, organizing Tet in a formal, ostentatious manner, causing waste or affecting security, order and people's lives, the head of the agency, unit or locality must be responsible.
Quang Ninh province requires strict implementation of discipline and administrative discipline before, during and after Tet; arranging cadres, civil servants and public employees to be on duty for Tet appropriately, ensuring timely resolution of work, avoiding congestion and delays in administrative procedures for people and businesses. Fully implement the information and reporting regime during the Tet holiday according to regulations.
It is strictly forbidden to give or give Tet gifts to leaders at all levels in any form; not to organize visits or wish wish Tet to superiors; not to use state budget, means, and public assets in violation of regulations for festival activities and entertainment during Tet.
The Directive also requires cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees to set an example in complying with the law, especially regulations on traffic safety, not to drive vehicles when using alcohol; not to participate in superstitious activities and social evils.
Request to organize Tet to ensure safety, economy, practicality, associated with caring for people's lives, especially policy beneficiaries, people in difficult circumstances, workers and laborers.
Cultural activities and festivals are organized in accordance with civilized lifestyles and local cultural traditions, avoiding ostentation and formality.
Immediately after the Tet holiday, agencies, units and localities must quickly stabilize their organization, focus on implementing key tasks in 2026, ensuring progress and quality in implementing the province's socio-economic development goals.
