Submitting to the National Assembly the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 10 laws related to security
Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed and issued Resolution No. 94/2025/UBTVQH15 Adjusting the 2025 Legislative Program.
Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to add to the 2025 legislative Program to submit to the National Assembly for comments and approval at the 10th Session (October 2025) according to a shortened order and procedure for the two projects.
Specifically, the Law amends and supplements a number of articles of 10 laws related to security and order (including: Law on Security, Law on entry, exit, transit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam, Law on Exit and entry of Vietnamese citizens, Law on Residence, Law on Identification, Law on Forces Participating in Security and Order Protection at the Grassroots Level, Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, Road Law, Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Exploitable materials and Support Tools, Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue); and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on International Treaties.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also assigned the submitting agency and the agency in charge of reviewing, participating in reviewing and the progress of submitting to the National Assembly Standing Committee for comments on the above 2 draft Laws. Specifically, the Government is the submitting agency, the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs shall preside over the review.
The two draft laws will be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee at the September 2025 session. This Resolution takes effect from August 14, 2025.
