General Secretary and President To Lam visits China - ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Center
General Secretary and President To Lam visits a symbolic project for the "Digital Silk Road" construction process of Nanning city, Guangxi, China.
Continuing activities within the framework of the State visit to China, on the morning of April 17, in Nanning city (Guangxi province), General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation visited the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Innovation Cooperation Center.
Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Tran Cuong accompanied General Secretary, President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation to visit the exhibition on cooperation in applying artificial intelligence between China and Vietnam; exhibition area of typical artificial intelligence application products of Chinese enterprises.
The China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Innovation Cooperation Center, established by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China and ASEAN countries, aims to promote the inclusive and mutually beneficial development of artificial intelligence (AI) globally, and is considered a symbolic project for the "Digital Silk Road" construction process of Nanning city, Guangxi, China.

On June 30, 2025, the Center will put into operation phase 1 with an area of related items of about 7.78km2. Of which, the area of the Center is about 19,000m2.
The China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Innovation Cooperation Center promotes capable Chinese enterprises to deeply exploit the potential and needs of ASEAN countries, and related countries to promote cooperation in applying AI in specialized fields such as agriculture, healthcare, tourism, education, finance, logistics, based on the needs of each country; and at the same time train AI talents.
As of the end of 2025, 51 projects in China and 16 projects in ASEAN countries have been signed within this framework.
It is expected that the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Innovation Cooperation Center will continue to establish subsidiary branches in other cities in China and ASEAN countries.
On November 26, 2025, Hanoi and Guangxi cities signed a Memorandum of Understanding on jointly researching and building the Vietnam - China Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center.
