How to build a balanced diet every day to help prolong life
Understanding food groups and how to allocate a reasonable diet helps the body be provided with enough nutrients, maintain energy and prolong life.
Food groups necessary for the body
Food can be divided into 3 main groups including the energy supply group, the body building group, and the health protection group.
The group provides energy such as cereals, fats and sugars, helping to maintain daily activities. Bodybuilding groups such as beans, milk, eggs, meat and fish support muscle tissue development and recovery. Meanwhile, fruits and vegetables belong to the group that protects health, providing vitamins and minerals necessary for the immune system.
Building a balanced meal
A reasonable meal should consist of 50% of vegetables and fruits to ensure vitamins and fiber. About 25% should be whole grains such as rice, millet or oats to provide sustainable energy. The remaining 25% is protein from eggs, beans, milk or lean meat.
Maintain healthy eating habits
Besides choosing food, drinking enough water and eating on time is also very important. You should drink 8-10 glasses of water per day, limit processed foods and sugary drinks. Dividing meals into smaller portions during the day helps control hunger and avoid overeating, thereby supporting long-term health maintenance.
