General Secretary and President To Lam attends the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap

Attending the anniversary ceremony were Comrade To Lam - General Secretary, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Member of the Politburo, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat; Comrades Members of the Politburo, Secretariat, Members of the Party Central Committee, leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, leaders of a number of Ministries, departments, central agencies and local leaders.

Opening the ceremony, delegates enjoyed a special art program with 5 performances including the dance drama "Lời thề trước bình minh" and the songs: "Hà Huy Tập sáng danh sử vàng", "Hà Huy Tập người con quang vinh", "Đảng đã cho ta cả mùa xuân", "Hà Tĩnh thênh thang trên đường lớn".

Presenting a speech at the anniversary ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam - Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee recalled the biography, contributions, and sacrifices for the glorious revolutionary cause of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap.

Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee affirmed: Promoting the good traditions of the homeland, learning from the example of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap and revolutionary predecessors, the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh have always been united, made every effort and made many important contributions through revolutionary periods, contributing to the people of the whole country to win glorious victories in the revolution to liberate the nation, unify the Fatherland, and build the homeland and country.

The Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh are determined to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, self-reliance, and determination to successfully implement the goals and tasks to bring the province to rapid and sustainable development.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed: Comrade Ha Huy Tap's revolutionary life is a noble symbol of a young intellectual with a deep patriotism, early awakening to the revolutionary ideals of the proletarian class and the path of national salvation of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc. He is a shining example of sharp theoretical thinking, creative capacity in practical activities, steadfast and indomitable fighting will and revolutionary spirit of a communist, dedicating and sacrificing his whole life for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized: Proud of the glorious revolutionary life and career, with great emotion before the heroic sacrifice of comrade Ha Huy Tap and countless revolutionary heroes, we are even more aware of our responsibility to the Party, to the people, to the future of the nation, and even more realize that we must cultivate and learn the noble revolutionary qualities of our predecessors.

Our country is entering a new era of development with great opportunities, but also facing many challenges and difficulties; requiring us to have firm bravery, innovative thinking, high determination and stronger and more drastic actions. More than ever, we need to ignite the spirit of General Secretary Ha Huy Tap in the entire Party, people, and army, to deepen that spirit and turn it into actions of each cadre, soldier, party member and each citizen.

Following the example of comrade Ha Huy Tap, in the new era of development, we must arouse the aspiration to rise up, the spirit of strategic autonomy, self-reliance, self-strengthening, self-confidence, and national pride; maximize the creativity of Vietnamese people. To develop quickly and sustainably, achieve a double-digit growth rate, there is no other way but to make stronger breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transformation; develop high-quality human resources; build synchronous and modern strategic infrastructure; form new growth drivers; improve labor productivity, competitiveness and economic resilience; economic growth must be closely linked to social progress and justice, cultural and human development, environmental protection, national defense and security, and maintain socio-political stability.

All development guidelines and policies must ultimately aim for the highest goal of constantly improving the material, spiritual and happy lives of the people; so that the people are truly the center, the subject, the goal and the driving force of the renovation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

To realize the great aspiration for development, it is necessary to continue to promote the strength of the people and the great national unity bloc, combining national strength with the strength of the times, arousing patriotism, self-reliance, aspiration to contribute, entrepreneurial spirit and civic responsibility in all strata of people, especially the young generation.

Ha Huy Tap's spirit and bravery must become a source of inspiration for action for the whole society to study more seriously, work more creatively, live more responsibly, and contribute more to the Fatherland.

At the anniversary ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the National Historical Relic Ranking Certificate for General Secretary Ha Huy Tap's tomb to Ha Tinh province.
