General Luong Tam Quang receives new assignment

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc has just signed Decision No. 702/QD-TTg establishing the Steering Committee for implementing the Project "Digital transformation in criminal proceedings and criminal judgment enforcement" (Steering Committee).

The Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordinating organization, performing the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating to resolve important inter-sectoral tasks in the implementation of the project.

The Steering Committee includes the following members:

General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security, Head of the Steering Committee.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Deputy Minister of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

Lieutenant General Tran Minh Tien - Chief of Office of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security acts as Secretary of the Steering Committee.

The members of the Steering Committee include representatives and leaders of many ministries and sectors such as the Ministry of National Defense; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Science and Technology; Government Cipher Committee...

The Steering Committee has the task of directing the review and proposal to improve mechanisms, policies, standards, technical regulations, and professional procedures to serve the digitization of dossiers, digital signatures, and exchange and sharing of data to serve criminal proceedings and criminal judgment enforcement according to regulations.

Direct the development, organization and implementation of plans, projects, and digital transformation tasks of ministries, sectors, and relevant agencies to ensure connection, intercommunication, and data sharing to serve project implementation; limit duplication and waste.

Monitor, urge, and evaluate the results of the Project implementation; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles; coordinate the mobilization of resources and inter-sectoral coordination according to authority.

Direct ensuring information safety and security; protecting state secrets; managing, exploiting, and using documents in accordance with authority and regulations; organizing inspection, supervision, and evaluation when necessary.

The Steering Committee and members of the Steering Committee work in a part-time manner, using the existing apparatus, without increasing staff; the Steering Committee self-dissolves after completing its tasks.

The Ministry of Public Security uses the existing apparatus to perform the tasks of the standing agency. The standing agency is responsible for ensuring the operating conditions of the Steering Committee and organizing the implementation of the Steering Committee's tasks according to regulations.
