Election propaganda information must be close to and reach out to voters in remote areas

On the afternoon of January 13, the Inspection and Supervision Team on the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th National Assembly, deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Election Council had a working session with the Election Committee of Hon Dat commune, An Giang province.

Along with that, the Commune Election Committee is interested in directing the authorities to proactively grasp information and people's wishes, avoid complaints, and strengthen security and order in the locality before, during and after the election. By December 2025, the commune had completed the Election Steering Committee, the Commune Election Committee and established subcommittees to serve the election preparation work.

Through the first meeting of the People's Council, Hon Dat commune introduced 46 candidates to elect 26 delegates to the People's Council of the commune. The whole commune currently has 45,252 voters, the Commune Election Committee organizes 9 election units with 33 voting units, creating the most favorable conditions for voters to go to the units to vote.

On behalf of the monitoring and inspection team, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels of Hon Dat commune. The implementation of the commune basically follows the directives and instructions of the Central Government and the province.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted that the locality has not had much time left until the election day, so Hon Dat commune needs to focus on directing, strengthening inspection and urging work, ensuring the implementation of completing work contents according to the prescribed time frames; focus on implementing well the work of receiving and handling complaints and denunciations, ensuring local security and order.

Information and propaganda work must be regular and continuous in many close forms; focusing on informing voters in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, voters working in special occupations such as fisheries, ensuring that voters grasp and fulfill their voting obligations according to the law.
