The National Assembly Standing Committee's monitoring delegation inspects election work in Lao Cai

On January 12, the Supervisory and Inspection Team of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Election Council led by Mr. Le Minh Hoan - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly had a meeting and inspected and supervised the preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province.

Reporting to the Supervisory Delegation, the leaders of Tran Yen commune said that immediately after the election Steering Committee was established, the locality has organized the dissemination and serious implementation of the directives and instructions of the Central Government, the province and related departments and branches.

At the same time, focus on reviewing and assigning specific tasks to each member, ensuring progress and quality of work according to plan.

The Tran Yen Commune Party Committee has issued a Plan to lead the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term of the commune. On that basis, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated with the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to develop and issue full documents to direct and organize implementation.

The training on election skills for cadres, civil servants and part-time workers has been seriously implemented, contributing to ensuring unity in the implementation process.

Accordingly, the Tran Yen Commune Election Committee was established, promptly perfecting when there were personnel changes, and at the same time establishing a working group and 4 working subcommittees including: Subcommittee on Facilities, Subcommittee on Security, Order and Social Safety, Subcommittee on Complaints and denunciations and Subcommittee on Information and Propaganda.

Concluding the working session, Mr. Le Minh Hoan assessed that the preparation for the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term of Tran Yen commune was very methodical and thoughtful.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Tran Yen commune continue to grasp public opinion, focus on information and propaganda work about the election in a rich and diverse manner; focus on widespread propaganda about the meaning, importance of the election, rights and obligations of voters.

In addition, there is a plan to ensure political security, social order and safety for the election to be implemented synchronously; focus on regular inspection and supervision; do a good job of election training; receive citizens and resolve complaints (if any) in accordance with the correct order and law.
